One of our client based in Kuwait is looking for Application Transition Manager.
Immediate responsibilitiesResponsible for planning and overseeing the transfer of key information necessary for the support, operation and acceptance of application solutions before its deployed into production.Responsible for operational readiness, support documentation and acceptance checklists.Identify , document & collaborate to ensure mitigation of business risks.SPOC for IT Ops, IT support & IT solutions delivery internal teams w.r.t. handover & take over of responsibility from a delivering vendor.Build transition plans incorporating the support model.Provide effective team leadership, including information flow to and from operations & Service support through the transition phase.
Long term responsibilitiesIdentify & document Transition scope for each new service/ technology/ technical enablement agreed at Demand stage with business.Ensure service transition is planned and executed to schedule, budget and scope.Co-ordinate routine deployment and decommissioning of applications.Liaise with business and IT partners on handover scheduling and communication of progress.Work with project manager to ensure appropriate inclusion of activities in project plan that contributes to Transition.Promotes awareness of transition planning and support process and strategy.Demonstrate mastery of the process competency principles and practices.Set up processes of periodic cadence for application operations evaluation against baseline processes.Identify & outline operations & service support optimization roadmap on an agreed cadence.Champion automation, resource competency & revision of resource deployment for optimized tasks of IT Ops & service support.
Immediate deliverablesEnsure a smooth and complete Transition of Phoenix program into production (IT Ops & Service Support).Comprehensive document of business case for upskilling & pre-requisite compliance.Align with vendors to ensure appropriate competency development within IT before close of transition.Own & execute the communication plan to ensure complete alignment with Business , Vendors, Change management, testing & IT w.r.t. transition.Identify, document & manage any potential business risk.Address business risks with mitigation in consensus with Business, PMO, vendors & IT.
Long term deliverablesDocument and socialize agreed transition protocol for each business domain.Establish the role as the counterpart of ITBP.Develop checklists for individual stage gate handover for Transition with sign off thresholds.Build and maintain the baseline & progressive operating process chart for IT .Setup and maintain forums for periodic alignment focused on Continuous Improvement across IT Ops & Service support benchmarked against baseline process flow.Own & deliver the optimization, redundancy, retirement & automation recommendations for IT Ops & Service support.
