Job Description

Core skills

You should have at least 8-10 years of experience in PR, either in an agency or in a corporation leading their PR division. You should have the ability to develop strategic communication plans. You should have a background in Corporate PR. You should have exceptional writing skills. You should have a thorough understanding of media landscape from a business/corporate media and trade publications (locally and internationally). You should have proven ability to have worked on opinion pieces, features and sourced speaking opportunities for C level executives and leaders. You should have the ability to prove that they have worked across industry events across varied sectors. You should have experience in handling crisis management. You should understand and have dealt with all forms of new media.

Analytical Thinking

You have the ability to break down problems and issues into sub-components and then assess the costs, benefits, and risks of various options prior to selecting a particular approach.

Strategic Thinking

You can analyze strengths and weaknesses and then combine these with knowledge of the industry, market, and organization to develop a long-term strategy.

Planning

You develop the steps necessary to accomplish long-term goals. Identify long and short-term goals and establishes realistic plans to reach them. Allocate required resources, allow for contingencies, and ensure that plans fit with the larger needs of the organization. Set milestones to measure progress along the way.

Presentation Skills

You come across as confident and well-prepared when making group presentations. Make effective use of visual aids or presentation software and looks at ease while handling questions from the audience. Your presentations should hold the audience's attention and tend to be the right length for the amount of information covered.

You meet or exceed productivity standards that have been established for your organizational level or position. You have successfully combined skills, ability, and effort level to ensure that expectations related to results/output are achieved.
