Uber is looking for a Junior Associate to join and support our Business Development Team on its mission covering the Middle East and North Africa. The role will be based in Dubai and will report to the Head of Business Development, MENA.
Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of IQ and EQ, an ability to think strategically and analytically, strong interpersonal skills and most importantly an eagerness to learn from and contribute to a high-performance team. We look for someone who brings hustle in spades and isn't afraid to manage multiple engagements in a high-pressure, high-stakes environment. Essentially, a business athlete wannabe with ambition and drive, capable of learning and growing to become a high performing deal-maker. What You’ll Do Support deal leads in pre-deal engagements Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to deal strategy Research, modelling and opportunity analysis Prepare decks and other content essential for deal pitching and negotiation Assist Deal Leads during internal and external meetings, with preparation, action plans and follow-ups Deal sourcing and pipeline As a junior deal lead, it will also be expected from the candidate to start building her/his own deal pipeline with the support of more experienced Deal-Leads Engage prospective partners, own deal strategy, and close partnership Execution of deals, stakeholder coordination, partner coordination Partnership launch and planning and action tracking related to partnership execution Internal and external stakeholder coordination and follow-ups to ensure timely and quality delivery Deal measurement, tracking and preparation of management reports Develop and maintain templates, tools and repositories necessary for the day to day of BD team Envision new ways that partnerships can positively impact core business objectives applying creativity and business acumen
What You’ll Need
Minimum 2 years of experience with a preference for prior experience in marketing, partnerships, investment banking, or management consulting History of forming and more importantly executing complex partnerships, to drive operational excellence and results Raw intellect that allows you to keep up with Uber's pace, demonstrate big picture and structured thinking to approach complex problems Exceptional verbal and written communication skills combined with great teamwork that allow you to build trust and relationship to succeed in your role. Ability to challenge your own and others’ thinking and use creativity and collaboration to find solutions and seize opportunities A positive attitude, hard work and be a team player.
