The role of Program Manager will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and responsible for the management, performance and completion of all aspects of projects in the Kingdom ensuring the programs remain within the applicable scope and budget. The role will require the individual to coordinate with other Cubic offices and Program Managers to ensure all aspects of each project are fulfilled, and will be involved in the hiring of new personnel as needed to fulfil program needs. This position reports to the General Manager, Cubic Branch Office in Saudi Arabia.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Represent the company to local government and industry customer representatives on ongoing projects and programs being executed in the Kingdom.Represent the Cubic Program Manager (PM) or the General Manager of Cubic Arabia (GM) in meetings, conferences and discussions when Cubic PM is unavailable for program meetings.Accompany and support Cubic PM and/or the GM to any and all local program meetings.Prepare and present, as needed or requested, Program Review documents for local meetings, discussions, and conferences.Take detailed meeting minutes and maintain action item logs of specific requirements.To manage, oversee, monitor or approve elements of assigned projects from inception to completion, including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of products as directed by the Cubic PM or GM.To support the integration of project team members representing various functional areas within the company as requested by the Cubic PM or the GM.To plan and manage resource availability for projects such as engineering, manpower, production, computer support or installation facilities as requested by the Cubic PM or GM.Serve as Cubic Business Unit in country PM on issues related to current programs, directly or indirectly.Meet with local customer on regular basis (Weekly, Monthly) to determine status of customer acceptance of Cubic activity and responsiveness.Report to and work with the Cubic Business Unit Program Manager on a regular basis (Quarterly or Semi Annually) at a minimum to discuss program issues, program outlook, and customer feedback.Attend customer meetings on ad hoc basis and when requested by customer.Work with Cubic Arabia Government Relations Officer (GRO) on ongoing financial issues related to the program.Work with Cubic Arabia Human Resources (HR) Manager to develop Job Requisitions for local hiring.Interview and report to Hiring manager any comments regarding candidates for local hire positions.Work with Cubic Business Development to provide knowledge of local new business opportunities and build relationships with Cubic customers that enable the Cubic Capture Process to be effective in attaining new business for the company.Meet with General Manager of Cubic Arabia on regular basis (Weekly) and on ad hoc basis (as needed or desired) and provide updates on programs status, issues, upcoming events.Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. Essential:Previous/Current Program Management experience in a similar rolePrevious Business Development Management role in the region.Previous experience working in Program office overseasExperience with Project Management tools including scheduling, spread sheets and presentationsKnowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other computer skills requiredAbility to work with foreign nationals on a daily basis required.Understanding of and appreciation for different cultures, different business processes, and different languages.
Desirable:Experiencein a program office in the Middle EastPrevious military experience at a senior level and assignments in the region.
