Review, coordinate, administer, implement medication safety initiatives and develop a vision of an ideal safe medication use system for the hospital. Serves as a resource to the chief and the pharmacy management team and coordinates performance improvement initiatives with other departments on medication safety and regulatory compliance.
Education and Licensure:Ph.D. in Pharmacy from a recognized college, or Master in clinical Pharmacy, or equivalent (i. e, Saudi Specialty certificate in clinical Pharmacy). Certification in medication safety from an accredited organization (i.e. ISMP) or equivalent. Valid license to practice Pharmacy from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) Current valid certification of Basic Life Support or obtaining that within 6 months of commencement of employment.
Experience:For Ph.D. minimum Three (3) Years’ experience in pharmacy practice after obtaining a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. For Mater, or equivalent degree minimum Seven (7) Years’ experience in pharmacy practice reacted to patient medication safety.
Specialized Knowledge:Attention to detail, ability to work quickly and accurately, able to prioritize work demands, able to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, physicians, and employees, demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong understanding of accreditation standards as they relate to medication safety management. Thorough working knowledge of pharmacy operation processes and policies appropriate to a hospital setting. Understands performance improvement mechanisms and data collection. Demonstrate strong communication, organizational and planning skills.
